ABOUT US

Perpetuanna's journey is deeply rooted in a heritage of culinary and professional excellence. In Haiti, she worked as an architectural drafter and construction supervisor. After moving to the U.S., she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

From a young age, Perpetuanna helped her mother, Cecile Lazare (Soule), cater high-profile events in Mole-st-Nicolas, which sparked her passion for authentic Haitian cuisine. She now combines her diverse skills to create a welcoming space in Syracuse for enjoying Haitian dishes.

At all events organized by Perpetuanna, her husband Pascal manages backup operations. Pascal, an accountant, financial agent, and phlebotomist with a CDL license, has over 12 years of experience in finance and management, including work with the United Nations and co-managing several businesses in Haiti.

HISTORY

Perpetuanna's passion for cooking was nurtured by her mother, Cecile Lazare (Soule), who dedicated her life to her culinary talents. Inspired by her mother's legacy, Perpetuanna, along with her gifted sisters, embarked on a journey to the United States. Through diligent research and collaboration with fellow chefs, she honed her skills, catering events across New York and New Jersey.

In 2018, while pursuing nursing studies in Syracuse and working at UPS, Perpetuanna seized the opportunity to share her cuisine with colleagues, recognizing the vital link between good food and healthcare. Learning about Salt City Market sparked a new chapter in her culinary journey. Participating as the first Haitian restaurant in their program affirmed her ambition to serve the community with authentic Haitian cuisine.

Driven by the joy of seeing others savor her creations, Perpetuanna is committed to providing exceptional customer service and delicious, wholesome meals at her restaurant. As the first Haitian establishment in Syracuse, she aims to fill a gap in the culinary landscape, offering an inviting space where everyone can enjoy flavorful dishes.

"Where there is lack, there is opportunity."
